Well, turns out I can take pictures of people.
After all the hand-wringing and nervousness, my first time in a studio with a model went absolutely swimmingly, and the two hours I spent shooting flew by like two minutes. Thanks to the wonderful, talented and helpful Ian at MindStudio in East London, I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
It's funny, I had three notebook pages of poses and lighting scenarios and lens combinations I wanted to try, but once we got rolling, I found it impossible to stop and consult things. Guess that fluidity is really what it's all about. If you'll recall an earlier post, I was supposed to shoot two different models today, but after a week of flakiness from one, I didn't want to worry about whether he'd turn up, so I told him to forget it. Which let me spend more time with Luke (above and below), and that turned out to be a very, very good call.
All in all, one of the absolute best days I've ever spent in London, and quite rewarding and relieving all at once. Can't wait to do a bit more of this. More photos will go up on the Pine Creative site once I'm back home... And now, back to the States!
