Super-Special Early-Morning Bonus Picture: So, the cops made an appearance on good ol' Rodman Street this morning. Round about 12:45, when I'm settled in on the couch watching Three Sheets, I hear a squeal of tires and the dark living room lights up with flashing blue and red.
What I initially thought was some sort of roadblock at the end of my street turned out to be Major Police Action on the next street over, for when I peered out the kitchen window, there was what must have been a good percentage of the Hollywood police force.
Over the next 15 minutes or so, there were muddled loudspeaker pleas to "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE" (thankfully not in my direction), officers running down the street with guns drawn and ultimately some sort of resolution that didn't, thankfully, involve pops of gunfire.
A note on the picture: Pretty lame, yes, but as the aforementioned cops-with-guns-drawn were about 20 feet from my door when the dramatic lights were flashing, I imagined the possibility of them mistaking my hefty camera/lens combo for some sort of firearm. I figure if that would have happened, I probably wouldn't boast the ability to post this right now. So better something than nothing, right?
