Some Billy Elliot news in the past couple days:
- Billy's coming to Broadway. Long-rumoured for a Fall 2008 opening, things were confirmed recently with the appearance of these posters around Times Square. Seems the first preview will be Sept. 17, 2008 at the Imperial.
- Billy's nearly ready in Australia. Previews begin Nov. 13 at the Capital Theatre in Sydney. I'm hoping to spend my birthday there this holiday season.
And, of course, there's always the long-established fabulous show in London.
Meanwhile, the original Billy Elliot (in the film), Jamie Bell, is getting huge amounts of press (including this profile in the Guardian) for his lead role in the upcoming Hallam Foe. (And it's not even all to do with his first sex scene.)
